Trade In Your SUV, Buy a Compact

According to the NADA used car guide, consumers can expect an increase in value of used trucks and SUV’s, while the value of compacts should drop. Several factors have lead to a turn-around in used vehicle sales and value in the last year or so. Unsurprisingly, a decrease in oil prices have shifter value from compact, fuel efficient cars towards larger vehicles. Additionally, slow new car sales have caused a decrease in availability of trade-ins resulting in a higher demand for used cars. Prices are expected to stabilize as new cars sales improves, and used car supply begins to meet dealer and consumer demand.
